1, 2, Terminal 3 – what a weekend!
The time flew by: on April 11 and 12, 30,000 guests joined us in exploring and celebrating our new Terminal 3 ahead of the official inauguration at “READY FOR TAKEOFF,” a large Terminal 3 event hosted by Fraport and HIT RADIO FFH. There was plenty to discover, including the iconic, timelessly elegant check-in hall, the easy wayfinding, an exhibition on the terminal’s construction and an impressive dynamic artwork by Julius von Bismarck.
FFH and the Museum of Modern Electronic Music (MOMEM) staged live concerts, and guests could ride a 45-meter Ferris wheel while watching planes take off almost close enough to touch. There was also lots for younger visitors to experience: dancing in front of FFH’s “Just Kids” stage with surprises and, for the stronghearted, a view of the entire airport from the top.
We’re incredibly grateful for the sensational feedback and the delight that we could feel all around our new terminal during the event.
And now the official inauguration ceremony on April 22 and the start of operations on April 23 are just around the corner!
